Renjani, a thirty-year-old woman, left Jakarta to forget her past and start life afresh. She moved to Kotagede, Yogyakarta, where she turned her grandmother's house into a home for abandoned babies with multiple disabilities. She grows fond Dewa, an eight-year-old mute and mentally challenged boy, with austic tendencies. Sceptical of modern medicine that comdemned his future, she learn that music is the best therapy for Dewa. At a violin recital she meets Bhisma, a violinist, who also takes a liking to the child and promises to help her. There is love, despair, and play of senseless fate in this love story.
