Will immigration lead to the development of lasting and persistent ethnic minorities in the Netherlands or will there eventually be integration? This is one of the central questions of this book and the reader will discover that the answer depends on a number of factors. One of these factors is of course the future of the Dutch economy in its Western European context. The opportunities given to the individual members of immigrant ethnic minorities are another.
