This book presents recent research in mobile learning and advanced user interfaces. It is shown how the combination of these fields can result in personalized educational software that meets the requirements of state-of-the-art mobile learning software. Mobile Learning for Expanding Educational Opportunities
The International Workshop on Mobile Learning for Expanding Educational Opportunities was held 16-20 May 2005 in Tokyo, Japan. Jointly organized by the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and UNESCO, speakers came from both the private and public sector. The key objective was to highlight the benefits of m-learning; and to provide specific recommendations about how to develop strategies for the implementation and sustainability of m-learning. The report includes the proceedings on various topics relating to m-learning such as public-private partnership, training for e-learning professionals, course-ware for mobile devices, hardware and software applications enabling m-learning, and policies and action plans on m-learning.
